If you’ve just bought lash or eyebrow serum, but it didn’t come with an applicator brush, you might be stumped as to how to use it. Mascara containers are ideal for containing growth serums, provided that they are spotless. In only one afternoon, you can clean out your old mascara tube and turn it into something new that you’ll use on a daily basis.
Cleaning Out
Take out your empty mascara tube and wash the wand in a bowl of warm soapy water. Put your mascara wand in a bowl of hot water for around ten to fifteen minutes. You can clean the wand with dish soap and warm water and then dry it with a paper towel.
Mascara Remover
Use a makeup remover to dissolve the dried mascara in the tube. If you’re using an eye makeup remover, be sure to use the entire contents of the tube. Mascara clumps can be broken up by pumping the wand in the tube.
Reintroduce Mascara Wand
Reintroducing mascara ward to the container and give it a couple of good spins. If possible, use the mascara wand to remove some of the excess mascara from the tube. Put the lid back on the tube and give the makeup remover 3 hours to work.
Rubber Insertion
You should inspect your mascara tube for a rubber insert and take it out if you find one. A rubber seal can be found on the bottom of some mascara tubes. To remove the rubber piece from the tube and clean it, use the tines of a fork.
Soap And Water Cleaning
Put 1–2 drops of dish soap into the water in the sink or a small bowl. To combine the dish soap and water, stir the solution. Then, completely submerge your mascara wand and tube in water so that your mascara tube is flooded.
Wanding Through
Reapply the mascara by placing the wand back into the container and shaking it. If you can, try using the wand to pull clumps of mascara up and out of the tube. The makeup remover should be emptied onto a paper towel.
Submerging
The soapy water in the sink or bowl should be drained. Put your mascara wand and tube in it and fill it with warm, clean water. Repeat this process several times until soap bubbles are no longer escaping from your mascara container.
Application and Squeeze
Put some rubbing alcohol into your mascara container. After inserting the wand into the tube, replace the lid and give it a few good shakes to distribute the contents. Empty the tube of its rubbing alcohol content. When you’re ready to remove your makeup, close the mascara tube with the wand inside and let it sit in
Sunshine
Set the uncapped mascara tube, wand included, in direct sunlight for about 6 hours. If you’re going to reload your mascara tube, give it a good wipe down first to make sure it’s dry. You can always put more mascara in your tube if you want to.
